Introduction

Speedrunners is a fast 2D platformer where up to 4 players run in an interactive environment. Speedrunners is created by the indie developer DubleDutch Games and was released in 2016. The goal of the game is to race against 3 other players using various weapons to slow others down. When a player stays behind and falls off the screen, the player explodes and the screen starts shrinking. The last player to stay on the screen gets a point. The player to reach 3 points wins the match. The game has a number of cool possibilities to get ahead of the opponents, combining weapons and mechanics.

Rules

• Registration and matches are on Saturday.
• All matches are Best of 1 meaning the winners proceed to the semifinals. The semifinals and finale are also Best of 1.
• One match can hold up to 4 competitors.
• The game is on the PC platform and 4 Xbox 360 controllers are provided on the spot.
